The Fish of Lake Geneva

Lake Geneva is one of the most beautiful lakes in Wisconsin. It is the second deepest lake in the State at 142 feet. Beautiful mansions line its 20.6 miles of shoreline. Its crystal clear water is fed by many fresh water springs. Lake Geneva is a well balanced fishery including Walleye, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Brown and Rainbow Trout, White Bass, Perch, Crappie, Bluegill and Cisco.

Lake Geneva has extensive stocking programs since 1981, including Walleye, Lake Trout and Northern Pike in excess of one million fish. Bookings are available April through November. Rates are $100 per person with two person minimum for a 1/2 day charter, corporate rates are also available. Full day bookings are available at $150 per person with a two person minimum.

Cisco are largely responsible for the excellent growth rates of Walleye, Trout and Northern Pike. Lake Geneva has produced many trophy Walleye over 10 pounds, Northern Pike, up to 30 pounds and Trout exceeding 15 pounds. The Smallmouth Bass population is outstanding, making Lake Geneva the premier Southern Wisconsin Smallmouth lake. Largemouth Bass have been steadily increasing in numbers with an average size of 2 to 3 pounds and 5 pounds plus Bass are not uncommon.
